The process itself is known. What's new is the combination with an integrated VCI active ingredient. We at Corpac have developed our own process for this and have filed a patent application.
The first step resulted in the creation of our Cor-BioMold® VCI emitter.
However, the paper injection molding process opens up further possibilities for customer-specific protective and functional parts. Individual geometries allow the molded part to be precisely tailored to the respective component and application – and all with integrated corrosion protection. This enables us to develop solutions together with our customers that are technically suitable, economical, and more sustainable.
The VCI emitter is our first step. The possibilities of paper injection molding go further.
