Processing of personal data and the nature and purpose of their use

(a) Types of personal data

When the user interacts with the LinkedIn page, the controller processes the following personal data of the user:

(b) Legal basis for the processing of personal data

i. Legal bases and purposes of the controller

Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (performance of contract, implementation of pre-contractual measures)

The controllers process users' personal data for the purpose of fulfilling contracts concluded with users or for carrying out pre-contractual measures. Personal data is made available to the controllers when users

• ask questions about the services and performance of the controllers via the LinkedIn page or
• other information can be requested via the LinkedIn page of the controller.

If necessary to process a request, the user's data will be shared internally. The type of data processed depends on what data the user provides to the controller. Typically, this includes the following data:

• First name Last Name
• Salutation
• Employer
• Position
• City, Country
• personal data that the user provides when contacting us.

Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (protection of legitimate interests)

The controllers also process users' personal data to protect their legitimate interests. These are the following purposes:

• Evaluation of the analyses and statistics of the LinkedIn page created and made available by LinkedIn regarding user interaction with the LinkedIn page
• Improving the LinkedIn page in terms of its usability and attractiveness and implementing user-friendly marketing measures
• Communication and interaction via the LinkedIn page opened by users.

The controllers do not have access to the personal data processed by LinkedIn as part of Insights, but only to that processed as part of the aggregated Page Insights. These are the following evaluations, each within a specific period:

• Current followers of the LinkedIn page (including current workplace, date the page was followed, location, job function, seniority, industry, company size)
• Breakdown of visitors with time of website visit, job function, location, seniority, industry and company size)

Further statistical data from LinkedIn members and visitors is processed. LinkedIn does not otherwise provide any further personal data to the controllers. The controllers only receive numerical evaluations from LinkedIn regarding user usage and interaction with the LinkedIn page.

LinkedIn complies with all GDPR obligations with regard to the processing of Insights data. The controllers do not make any decisions regarding the processing of Insights data and any other information resulting from Art. 13 GDPR. This information is provided solely by LinkedIn.
